What's the difference between certified and sworn translation?
In Canada, a certified translation is performed by a registered member of a professional order (OTTIAQ/ATIO) and bears an official seal. The term 'sworn' is used in Europe (notably France) for translators who have taken an oath before a court. Both are internationally recognized; we ensure the wording matches your destination country's expectations.
Is the apostille always necessary?
No. The Hague Apostille is required only between countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention. For other countries, consular legalization is necessary. We advise you on exactly what is required based on your destination.
How long does a complete visa application take?
Certified translation takes 2 to 5 business days depending on volume. Apostille or consular legalization may add 5 to 15 additional days. We offer express service for urgent applications.
Do you accept document scans?
