Two kinds of urgency, two services
Official documents: certified translation
IRCC, the MIFI, SAAQ, professional orders, universities, courts
- Signed and sealed by a certified translator, member of a Canadian professional order
- A short document (1 to 3 pages) can be delivered within 24 hours, weekends included, at no extra charge
- Language with no certified translator: translation plus affidavit, the route IRCC provides, priced by quote
Certified translation is $69 per 250-word page, with a minimum charge of $89 per project — that minimum is what applies to a short document.
Certified translation for IRCCBusinesses: business translation
Board meeting, presentation, contract, tender, press release, Bill 96 compliance
- Translators in Canada, Europe and Asia: a text sent in the evening can move forward overnight
- Per-word rate from the standard rate card, with no rush surcharge
- Turnaround based on volume, confirmed in the quote before you commit
Urgent request: how it works
- 1
Write “URGENT” in the subject line
Send your request to web@asiatis.ca with “URGENT” in the subject line. These messages are handled first, weekends included.
- 2
Attach the complete document
Every page, front and back, as a PDF, a scan or a legible photo. A missing page means we have to ask you for it again.
- 3
Give the deadline and the recipient
The date and time limit, with your time zone, and the body that will receive the translation: IRCC, the MIFI, SAAQ, a university or a client.
- 4
Approve the quote
You receive the quote within 1 business hour. It confirms the price and the delivery time.
- 5
Receive the translation
As a signed and sealed PDF, with a copy of the source document. A paper version is available on request, with shipping fees.
What slows down an urgent translation
A missing page or back side
A certified translation covers the whole document, back side included. Send everything at once.
A name written in another alphabet
Attach the identity page of your passport: it lets us align the spelling of names with your other documents.
An unspecified recipient
The format depends on the body. IRCC receives an uploaded translation; the MIFI asks for a paper original bearing the translator's name and seal, so allow time for mailing.
A document that is hard to read
A flat, sharp and complete scan avoids questions about a stamp, a signature or a date.
Deadlines that create urgency
These deadlines are set by the receiving bodies, not by us: always check the date stated in your own file.
| Situation | Deadline | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Invitation to apply (Express Entry) | Invitation valid for 60 days only | Translations are uploaded with the application, along with a scan of the original. Without these documents, the application may be refused or rejected. |
| CaRMS match | Deadlines of the CaRMS translation service | After its deadline, CaRMS no longer guarantees the translations come back in time: an outside provider can take over. |
| MIFI file | Date set in your file | Paper original required: allow time for mailing. |
| Public tender | Closing time set in the notice | Send each document as soon as it is final, without waiting for the full bid. |
Evenings, nights and weekends
Our translators work in Canada and in other time zones, in Europe and Asia. A document sent on a Friday evening or a Sunday can therefore move forward without waiting for Monday. For a certified translation, it is always a certified translator, member of a professional order, who signs.
Price: the same as the standard turnaround

- Standard turnaround for a certified translation is 2 to 3 business days. An express service in 24 to 48 hours is available on request, at no extra charge.
Frequently asked questions
Does an urgent translation cost more?
No. Asiatis applies no rush surcharge: a translation delivered within 24 hours costs the same as with the standard turnaround, weekends included.
Can I get a certified translation for IRCC within 24 hours?
Yes: a short document (1 to 3 pages) can be delivered within 24 hours, weekends included, at no extra charge. The translation is signed and sealed by a certified translator and delivered as a PDF, ready to upload with your application.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Yes. Requests marked “URGENT” are handled first, Saturdays and Sundays included, at no extra charge.
How do I send an urgent request?
Email us with “URGENT” in the subject line: these messages are handled first, weekends included. Attach the complete document, front and back, and state your deadline and the receiving body. The quote confirms the price and the delivery time.
Is a photo of the document enough?
To get started, yes, if it is sharp and complete, front and back. For IRCC, you will also upload a scan of the original with the translation: one good scan serves both purposes.
Does IRCC accept a translation as a PDF?
For an online application, yes: IRCC asks you to upload the translation, with the certified translator's stamp or an affidavit, and a scan of the original document. The MIFI, on the other hand, asks for a paper original: allow time for mailing.
My Express Entry invitation expires soon: what should I do?
The invitation is valid for 60 days only, and the translations must be uploaded with the application. Send us every document to translate at once, with the expiry date of the invitation: delivery is planned around that date.
What about a language with no certified translator?
For IRCC, the translation then comes with an affidavit: the translator's sworn statement, made before a commissioner of oaths. It is priced by quote, and the turnaround allows for the swearing appointment.
Can you translate a presentation for a meeting tomorrow?
Often, depending on the volume and the language pair. Send the file as soon as possible, even as a working draft, with the meeting time: the quote confirms what can be delivered in time, at the usual rate.
What counts as a short document?
A document of 1 to 3 pages, a page being 250 words: birth certificate, driver's licence, diploma, one-page transcript. Beyond that, the turnaround depends on the volume and is confirmed in the quote.
